Garrett Schoonover (bass-baritone) is a 2nd year graduate student at UCLA pursuing a master's degree in vocal performance, studying with Professor Michael Dean. Recent performances include UCLA's production of Massenet's Cendrillon (Le Roi, covering Pandolfe) and as a chorus member in Utah Opera's 2015-2016 season. Aside from singing, he is an aspiring composer. A native of Salt Lake City, Schoonover is an avid outdoorsman and has served in the Army for seven years. He enjoys riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family and girlfriend. As a proud member of the Armenian Music Ensemble, Garrett has coached with Vatsche Barsoumian, and performed with the VEM String Quartet at the Armenian Genocide Commemoration concert at the Hammer Museum.
